Volunteer with us! Volunteers are central to the success of the Maiden Star* Coming of Age Girls program in Nelson and Vancouver. We couldn't run our program without you! There are many ways to get involved – helping girls write and create, support during classes, assistance during a ceremony, e-promotions, postering the town, polishing a grant etc. Volunteering is a transformational & educational experience, guaranteed! Your donation supports the Maiden Star* program. We charge a moderate fee for classes, as well as offer scholarships to families as a way to reduce financial barriers for those in need. This means we need to raise the money through other means. Support our New Economy ~ any help you can give to this program is hugely appreciated.

Here’s where the money counts:

$50 – Buys the materials for workbooks for a class of 8 - 13 students, so that girls can have a copy to take home and share with their friends and family.

A Special Day of Honour.

$150 - Supports the participation of a girl and her mom, who may not otherwise have the financially ability to attend a full program series.

$500 – Buys the writing materials and all the art & ceremonial supplies we need to keep our program running.

$1,500 – Funds the full Maiden Star* experience.
We work with adolescent girls in a multi-experiential studio setting; engaging in hands-on educational projects; & designing a girls coming of age ceremony to honour her transition to young womanhood. It takes a village! Please assist a mother and daughter who may have little to offer and needs our support.

Any donation, from $2 – $5,000 makes our work possible.
